Professional Interests
Synthesis of small biologically active natural and unnatural molecules. Specific interests include compounds that belong to the tannin and alkaloid families, as well as other secondary metabolites. Development of new and useful chemical transformations is another of my interest of mine. These include the use of microwave-enhanced chemistry to develop organic reactions in aqueous media.
