Southern Scholarship Program


The SCSU Alumni Association has over 180 scholarships available for Southern students. All currently enrolled full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply. Pathways to Academic Excellence (PAcE)


The PAcE scholarships are for prospective students who wish to major in chemistry, biology, computer science, earth science, mathematics, or physics, and have academic promise and financial needs. Click here or contact Dr. Karen Cummings of the Physics Department, (203) 392-7043 for more details.

American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program


ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply. New Haven Promise

New Haven Promise is a scholarship and support program created to promote college education as an aspiration for all New Haven Public School (NHPS) students; assist graduating students from NHPS to pursue education after high school; and enhance the growth, stability, and economic development of the City of New Haven. Competitive SCSU Graduate Fellowships

Please click here for more information on the Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) and Graduate Student Graduate Assistantship (GSGA). Each award is in the amount of $12,000 for the academic year.
