About Professor Hutchinson

I teach African American Literature including classes on The Harlem Renaissance, Contemporary African American Novel, Black Women Authors. I am particularly interested in illuminating the theme of survival as discussed by various African American women writers. My current research is devoted to the study of both historical and contemporary African American women playwrights.
