Welcome Transfer Students!

Transfer Student Advising and Course Registration

Our Academic Advisors are excited to welcome  our newest Southern Owls!

Transfer Registration begins on November 25, 2019.

Thank you for your confirmation of enrollment, you are eligible to schedule an appointment with an Advisor who will:

·         discuss how your credits were applied with an Advisor for your intended major

·         explain what requirements remain

·         provide you with a pathway toward graduation

·         assist you with course selection

·         provide assistance with course registration

Special Note: Make your advising appointment as soon as possible as classes often fill quickly.  To maximize class selection, we strongly recommend that you make your appointment as soon as possible.  You DO NOT need to wait until your Financial Aid is finalized before you register for classes.  If you have questions regarding your financial aid please visit the Financial Aid website.

TRANSFERmation (Transfer Student Orientation)

Friday, January 17th, 9am - 2pm

Adanti Student Center

Transfer students are invited to attend  Transfermation which is the official orientation for transfer students.  This will be the first opportunity you will have to meet faculty and peers from your major.

Register for Transfermation through the Southern Admissions Portal in the Next Steps tab.

Park at the Wintergreen Parking Garage located at 109 Wintergreen Avenue, New Haven.

Check in begins at the Adanti Student Center Ballroom (3rd floor) at 8:45am.

The program begins promptly at 9am. 

Schedule for the day will include breakout sessions (involvement, wellness, campus tours, etc...), an inspirational keynote address, lunch with faculty (meet with faculty from your major), Southern give-a-ways and an opportunity to take care of university business. The day will conclude by 2pm.
