Lactation Support

Whether you are preparing for the birth of your child or have already welcomed your new baby home, Southern Connecticut State University is dedicated to providing programs and resources that support you at every stage of your breastfeeding journey. We have a conveniently located multi-user space in Buley 117.

The space includes several amenities, including privacy curtains, storage space, access to electrical outlets, a microwave for sterilizing accessories, and breastfeeding information.

To register for the lactation room/program, please complete the online form. To reserve a time to pump in BU 117, complete the room reservation form.

The School of Health and Human Services is becoming a breastfeeding-friendly school with a new breastfeeding policy that recognizes the importance of creating a family-friendly environment for students, employees, and the community. The School aims to provide a supportive and flexible environment for breastfeeding students and employees as they transition back to study or work. Feel free to reach out to any department in the SHHS for assistance in locating Southern's breastfeeding support resources.
