North Campus Midrise
The North Campus Residence Complex is the largest residence hall at Southern Connecticut State University, housing more than 600 students in the Midrise and Townhouses.
The North Campus Midrise provides apartment-style, quad-occupancy accommodations for students with 48+ credits. Each apartment is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, and sink. The common living area in each apartment is fully carpeted and equipped with two couches, coffee and end tables, and cable access. Each of the two bedrooms also contains a full bathroom with shower for use by the residents of that bedroom. Ample closet space and two dressers per bedroom allow plenty of storage space, and each bedroom features two beds, two mattresses, two desks, and two chairs. Individual heating and air conditioning units in each bedroom allow for personalized climate control, and all apartments feature WiFi access. Each floor of the Midrise also has a laundry room with Hoot Loot-operated washers and dryers.
The first floor of the Midrise offers additional amenities including a quiet study space; a game room featuring an air hockey table, multi-game arcade cabinet, and foosball; a computer lab; and the North Campus Marketplace (a mini-grocery store with items for purchase by cash or Hoot Loot). The market offers fresh baked goods, frozen items, sandwiches, dairy products, canned goods, and other apartment supplies.
